Justin Tindall, Group Executive Creative Director, Leo Burnett, Chairman of Judges

Justin Graduated from Goldsmiths College in 1989 with a degree in Fine Art alongside the likes of Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin.

Attracted by the 'Ideas' side of advertising his first agency role came in 1991 at FCA - arguably the UK's first genuinely integrated agency where his ground-breaking campaign for The Wales Tourist Board caught the Attention of DDB London.

7 years at DDB London saw Justin become Head of Art, Creative Director, a member of the Exec Board and one of the most awarded Creatives in the World. His work for Volkswagen, Lurpak, Marmite, The Guardian and Harvey Nichols winning the top honours at all the World's major Advertising Festivals including D&AD, Cannes Lions, BTAA Arrows, The One Show and The Clios.

2006 saw Justin move to The Red Brick Road as Creative Partner where he oversaw multi-award winning campaigns for Heineken, Olympus, Thinkbox and Magners Cider.

In January this year Justin joined Leo Burnett London as Group Executive Creative Director.

Harry Armfield, Former Creative Director, Open LEC, Convenor of Judges

Commencing at pharma-hotshop JWT Delatakos in 1979, and in a career spanning over 30 years, Harry has worked in both pharma and consumer advertising and has successfully run several creative departments in both disciplines.
In the early 1990s, Harry partnered his own pharmaceutical agency, Faraday which was renowned for its ground-breaking work for GlaxoSmithKline.
At Michael Robinson, Harry was responsible for coming up with the name ‘Nurofen’ for the new OTC version of Brufen. Harry was also at Saatchi & Saatchi (London) between 1997 and 2001, as a senior copywriter under Dave Droga (renowned creative chairman of Droga5), where Harry won TV awards for Ariel detergents, Cereal Partners and Pampers.
Until very recently, Harry was Creative Director at LEC, when a move to the shires sparked his return for fresh creative and administrative challenges in London.

Oliver Caporn, Creative Director, ICC Lowe London

Oliver has been a creative in advertising for over twenty five years. He began his career as an art director at Holmes Knight Ritchie working on Pan Am and Nikon cameras. He moved to Madell Wilmott Pringle which specialised in business to business, winning his first silver award for Hepworth building products before finding himself merged in to a fledgling EURO RSCG Wnek Gosper.

In the following fifteen years he rose to be Creative Director, working on and running blue chip clients such as Peugeot, Citroen and Abbey National (The Alan Davies campaign) as well as Weightwatchers and Vo5. In 2008 he left to go freelance and took time to write a pilot for a TV series and gain experience working across a broader range of disciplines in different advertising sectors. Short stints as a stand in CD on Garnier at Publicis London and Mazda via JWT in Dussledorf kept his Creative Director hand in. A three month freelance commission at Langland turned his head to Healthcare and in April 2011 he joined Brand(x) – now ICC Lowe - as the Creative Director.

Martin Gaul, Creative Director, Nitrogen

Martin is passionate about multi-channel branding and communication. He heads up a large creative team of talented on-line and off-line creative specialists, responsible for delivering award winning campaigns, both globally an regionally. Starting his career in consumer, Martin has over 15 years experience, 10 years of which are Healthcare specific and has worked his way through a wide range of creative disciplines to embrace the role of Creative Director, nitrogen.

Paul McCarthy, Senior Copywriter, Junction 11

Paul McCarthy is Senior Copywriter at inVentiv Health, London. A seasoned veteran of healthcare communications and disciple of legendary advertising guru John Ellis, Paul has worked across the therapeutic areas where he has sought creative answers even for the most resistant of briefs. Paul's latest sales aid will be published in the Spring.

Shaheed Peera, Creative Director, Publicis Life Brands Resolute

Shaheed's career started in 2003 at the UK's largest ad agency AMV BBDO. Whilst there he became the youngest person at the agency to ever win a D&AD Pencil.

Just some of Shaheed's career highlights include having a Guinness Book of Records for building the world's largest robot for the NFL, the world's first lenticular taxi for General Electric and the first augmented reality website for Bayer Healthcare.

Shaheed moved into healthcare 3 years ago. During this period he has become the world's most awarded creative (in healthcare). He has picked up over 100 awards to date.

Jeremy Perrott, Worldwide Creative Director, McCann Healthcare Worldwide

Jeremy Perrott has 21 years of creative experience. While passionate about the work, he is very aware of the business side and the importance of success for a client's brand, having been responsible for many multinational clients. He has extensive global launch experience in many products including Johnson & Johnson's Home Cholesterol testing kit, Strepsils and Nurofen and a wealth of brand experience including FMCG brands and healthcare brands Monostat 7 and Micatin. He has been responsible for global campaigns to consumers and healthcare professionals for many companies including Pfizer, GSK and Merck and a track record with brands as diverse as Cervarix, Famvir and Efexor. With Jeremy, ideas are creative, business is real, and success is measured.

Dick Dunford, Executive Creative Director, TBWA\Paling Walters

Dick has worked at CDP, McCanns, Bates, BBDO and for the last six years has been the Executive Creative Director of Tequila\, and now TBWAPW. Working with: Sky, Royal Mail, BA, LG, Nissan, Electrolux, Canon, The Army, Prudential, GSK and Pfizer to name a few. He has judged and won awards in many categories - Creative Circle Gold,  BTAA’s, Campaign posters, Cannes Cybers , a D&AD pencil and two Golds at this year’s DMA’s. Mike Walker, Creative Director, Saatchi and Saatchi Healthcare

Mike has worked in the communications industry for over 25 years in both consumer and healthcare advertising, and has been the strategic and creative lead for a wide range of major global pan-European and UK healthcare brands.

Before joining Saatchi & Saatchi Health, Mike was Senior Global Vice President at Grey Healthcare with a responsibility for global brand strategy.

His current role is divided between leading the multi-award winning creative department at Saatchi & Saatchi Health, and working closely with clients as a strategic brand consultant.

He has worked in London, New York and across Europe, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.

Lee Williams, Creative Director, Euro RSCG

Following a stint in Neurogenetics research Lee Williams has 15 years' experience in healthcare advertising, which has earned him over 40 industry awards. He has a wide range of brand experience across all aspects of pharma: consumer, OTC, DAC and RX. Lee holds a strong passion for writing and creativity; indeed it was through winning a short story competition for Campaign that he successfully broke into the industry. Outside of his day job, he is a father of a 3 year old boy can already be found dragged off on surfing and snowboarding expeditions

Will Collin, Founding Partner, Hypernaked. IPA Council

Will Collin is a founding partner of Hypernaked and the global Naked Communications group.

In 1989 Will graduated from Keble College, Oxford, with a BA in Chemistry.

He began his career at BMP DDB as a trainee account planner in 1989. In 1994 he helped the agency found BMP Interaction, its first ever digital team.

In 1997 he moved to media specialist PHD as communications strategy director, then in 2000 he left to found a new company, Naked Communications, with two fellow PHD directors.

Will has won an IPA Effectiveness Award and an APG Creative Planning Award while Naked has been named Agency of the Year by Media Week, Campaign and Marketing magazines, and now has offices in Europe, Asia and the Americas.

Naked joined the Photon Group in February 2008. Photon is an international marketing services group, headquartered in Australia.

In July 2011 Naked's London office joined forces with its digital specialist sister agency Hyper to create Hypernaked.

Will has been a regular speaker and author on communications issues, for example with the Account Planning Group, the Marketing Society and the Advertising Association. He is a Fellow of the IPA and sits on its Council.

Jane Asscher, Chairman, 23Red. IPA Council

After graduating from Oxford in 1985, Jane began her career at Ogilvy and Mather, where she worked on a range of blue chip international advertising accounts. In 1990, Jane moved from advertising to direct marketing and joined Tequila, becoming CEO in 1999. Jane helped set up brand communications agency 23red in October 2000 where she is Managing Partner and Chairman. Jane has been responsible for the strategic development of a number of innovative behaviour change campaigns for the COI on topics as wide ranging as health, vocational training, environment, financial education, volunteering and the digital divide. Her insights into marketing to Women and Youth have shaped award-winning, mould-breaking advertising campaigns for the likes of La Senza and University of Oxford. She sits on various industry panels and has published many articles and thought pieces on effective brand communication strategies, and creating and managing organisations that inspire creative behaviour.
